Julia Butler

Hello World!

My name is Julia Butler. I am currently a full-time software engineer at JPMorganChase in Tampa, FL. I recently completed the firm's 2-year new graduate program, the Software Engineer Program (SEP), in August 2025. Throughout my time at JPMorganChase, I have worked in Payments - Embedded Finance and Solutions under the Trust & Safety organization on a fraud screening platform.

In this role, I mainly work with Java (Spring Boot) and some Python. I have gained experience in reactive programming, cloud deployments, database management, and project management. I have also continued to build upon my soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, leadership, and mentorship. Additionally, I have found a passion for exploring LLM solutions and their applications to help automate tasks for my co-workers and peers.

As AI has become more prevalent in the tech industry, I'm open to attending graduate school to continue learning and further specialize.

Outside of my professional life, I have an interest in algorithms, statistical analysis, data science, machine learning, and even electrical engineering. This website not only showcases my skills and work experience, but also serves as a portfolio of my personal projects, where I explore these domains.

I made this website using GitHub pages, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You can take a look at the code for this site here.
